It’s almost the end of Movember, how much did you raise with your Mo this month?
In the financial year of 2012 to 2013 alone, there are said to be around 1.1 million registered Mo’s worldwide, raising a total of £92 million for prostrate and testicular cancer. That’s a huge amount – but Chappie firmly believes that we can top it this year. The efforts I have seen on Twitter and Facebook have been astounding – definitely brought some manly tears to my eyes.
Currently, United Kingdom stand in third place (after Canada and the USA) at a total amount raised of £6m. Not bad folks! Here are some of my favourite things about Movember thus far…
Get it MOving
Aside from encouraging men to ditch their shavers, the Movember Foundation also actively promotes events such as Mo running or the MOVE campaign, which aim to get the Mo’s to exercise during the month. A nice contrast to the usual lounging I must say!
Last week, Chappie spent a wild night partying it up at a Mo Party whilst donating to charity. What better cause can you ask for? If you still haven’t checked one out yet, there are still some events lined up until the end of the month. Take a peek!
Hall of Fame
One of Chappie’s lifelong dreams is to be crowned the International Man of Movember – the prestigious title awarded to the manliest of Mo Bros. At the end of each month, participating countries put forward their official Man of Movember from each Gala Party for a chance to be crowned king (and win a special edition Maurice Lacroix!).
